The Global Residence Programme (GRP) – A Gateway to Malta

posted 3 months ago

The Global Residence Programme (GRP) offers an attractive opportunity for non-EU, non-EEA, and non-Swiss nationals seeking Maltese residency through a special tax status. Designed to encourage investment and long-term settlement, the GRP allows individuals and their families to reside in Malta while benefiting from a favourable tax rate on foreign income.

At Vaia Legal, we provide legal guidance throughout the application process—from eligibility assessments to tax compliance and post-approval support. We are a licensed Authorised Registered Mandatary and can assist you with processing GRP applications.

·       Any other Maltese-source income is taxed at the standard rate of 35%.

·       Beneficiaries can claim relief from double taxation, provided the minimum tax is paid.
