    When accidents occur on construction projects, construction managers often find themselves as defendants in personal injury lawsuits, even if they did not employ the injured worker.  It is important for construction managers to know and understand the circumstance that might result in their assuming more risk than they had intended.  This article addresses the circumstances under which a construction manager may be exposed to liability for worksite accidents and personal injuries to workers it did not employ, the factors that courts look at in determining to impose liability, and how to minimize that exposure.
