4 New Partners for Noerr

Martin Diesbach is one of 4 new equity partners. His practice covers media and entertainment law and recently he advised the estate representatives of Michael Jackson. The other new equity partners are litigation lawyer Christian-Thomas Stempfle, employment expert Wolfgang Schelling and company and corporate finance specialist Eckart Schleifenbaum.

Noerr now has 72 equity partners although it emerged the partnership has dropped by over 10% since last year. While the promotions matched last year’s figure of four, in January 2009 Noerr’s partnership stood at 82, meaning a fall of over 10% in the last year. The drop was attributed to the switch form a German partnership to an English LLP and the retirement of old partners.

The firm has also promoted a selection of associated partners. These are: Volker Bock (real estate); Boris Handorn (litigation); Dita Sulcova (tax); and Christian Wiggers (real estate). Noerr now has 19 employed – or salaried – partners and 73 associated partners. The firm also confirmed Dieter Schenk and Tobias Buergers for a further three years leading the partnership.
